The story of the Pabst Mansion chandelier and it's acquisition is now the stuff of legend. When Karl bought the new building, he was looking to decorate the back room He was working with an antique dealer and saw the chandelier at the dealer's warehouse. It had been removed from the Pabst Mansion after it was decided to demolish the building. The chandelier was made by Cyril Colnik who was well known for his unique metal work. His handcrafted pieces were installed in the Schlitz Brown Bottle Pub and Villa Terrace on Lake Drive. Sometime after Karl bought the chandelier and had it installed, the Pabst Mansion was spared the wrecking ball and now the new board of directors was trying to get back the items that had been sold off, including the Colnik chandelier.
